Google Glass Faces A Ban In British Movie Theaters

Google Glass, a new product by Google, Inc., may be banned in British movie theaters. I think it would be a good idea to have it banned, but it may be hard to do so. Movie piracy is an increasing problem recently over the years. Piracy can affect the overall revenue of a movie. An example of this is The Expendables 3 (2014), which was released over the internet a month before release causing over 2 million people to see it. Google Glass could increase the problem of this. Google Glass has the ability to record things on the go, such as a GoPro. In movie theaters, since it is so small, Google Glass can be hard to see on someone's head in a dark theater. Large video cameras are easy to, but a thin white camera on someones head can be hard for someone looking from a distance to see.
Although I would like to see Google Glass out of movie theaters, I do not think people would comply with the overall rule. People will obviously sneak it in through pockets or purses, or even wear it under a hat. People will refuse to be searched, but they may not even be searched at all. Phones, which are able to record, are also allowed into movie theaters. These are not taken up at the entrance, so why would Google Glass be. I hope that the ban passes for Google Glass to be taken out of movie theaters.

  1. I really like the fact that people are concerned about problems of the new Google glass. I know that it has the abilities of a computer but it with its ability to record it really could be a problem for the movie industry. I think that this was an amazing artificial and i cant wait to see more about it.

  2. I completely agree with you Ethan. It is a problem and you simply cannot trust people these days. They will do anything to get what they want. I think that movie theatres in America should ban them too. People have no patience and cannot wait for a movie to be released on DVD. So, they have to record it, which is worse, because of quality of sound, and film. We have to start to take precautionary measures to ensure that this does not happen.
